Leadership Commisions

Knight Commander

Currently the company only has one commission for a single Knight Commander. The Company commander has overall jurisdiction over the company as whole

Knight Captain

Every Knight Captain functions not only as a ground pounding door kicker, Fighter Ace, and capital ship captain but as a mentor, leader, and comrade for all the subordinate members of the Company. A rank of both skill, and ceremony, the Raider Knight Captain can stand in stead for the Commander, is capable of directing the company, negotiating on its behalf, and can if necessary stand in the Commander's place on the F.O.F.C. council of leadership. A knight Captain can command an independent squadron within the company - provided he has at a minimum of four Man At Arms who are willing and able consistently train and fight together.

Knight Sergeant

Raider Knights who work above and beyond the call of duty are eligible for commission as a Knight Sergeant. Carrying out the responsibilities of a combat arms non commissioned officer, the Raider Sergeant is a highly capable operator who has elected to undertake leadership responsibilities for the company. They fill the role of the Captain when necessary, having full authority to negotiate on behalf of the company for contracts, and sit in stead on the Federation Council. Sergeants are capable of leading the entire company, or a portion of it in and out of combat. They work closely with the company captain to ensure that there is a two way flow of information, that member grievance and morale is adequately being addressed, and that the overall function of the company is highly effective both socially, and in combat. The Knight Sergeant is a honorary rank - bestowed only upon those who are both willing and able to shoulder its responsibility. If at any time a Sergeant needs to step down from the title - they may do so with the blessing and thanks of their fellow Raiders.

Ranks

Knight

The ultimate goal for a member of Raider Company is to earn their knighthood on the field of battle.

Armsmen who've shown consistent adept performance in game, steady and reliable participation in the discord, as well as valor and skill in combat may be knighted by any Raider holding the rank of Captain.

A Knight of Raider Company is a force to be reckoned with. Well rounded in combat, and capable of engaging in both mounted and dismounted combat. The Knight is both disciplined, and ferocious.

Those who demonstrate leadership skills will be offered the opportunity to become a knight sergeant or Knight Captain

Man at Arms

Every Raider will at minimum maintain and adhere to the expectations of a Man at Arms. Armsmen have a minimum skill level, having either completed the Raider Company training pipeline, or demonstrated a high degree of skill and knowledge; These members are expected to be visible in the discord, and participate in Raider and Federation events as possible. The Raider Man at Arms has no leadership responsibilities, however if they are interested in them they are encouraged to request additional leadership roles, or seek out and lead emergent gameplay opportunities. Though Not yet as skilled and respected as a Knight, the Man At arms can competently conduct combat missions in at least a single facet of gameplay.

Soldier

The Raider soldier rank, is for those members who's personality is a good fit for the Company, but they need some more training and experience in game to meet the minimum standard of a Raider Man at Arms. This rank has no time limit, no promotion requirements, or leadership responsibilities, and instead is focused on developing incremental improvements over the long cycle of the game towards a high degree of proficiency, and lethality. Soldiers can apply for membership in any one of the Raider Company squadrons.

While working an active operation, every member of Raider Company is expected to follow the orders of their team leader, and prioritize the interests of their team above their own. The soldier, though not a leader is a role model to Aspirants hoping to earn their place amongst the honored ranks of Raider Company.

Aspirant

Anyone who successfully completes an application to join Raider Company is considered an aspirant. There are only two expectations from Aspirants; Participate, and become better. That’s it. If you follow the first, you’ll have no problem with the second. Aspirants are expected to use the time in grade to prove themselves worthy of the rank of soldier or demonstrate the adequate skill level of a Man at Arms. There are no privileges for aspirants, only work. Aspirants will have 60 days to earn sponsorship as a soldier, or to demonstrate the skill and prowess of a Man at Arms or they will be dismissed. Recruits who are dismissed are welcome to reapply again after a 60 day waiting period.

Auxiliary

Members of Raider Company who are on an extended leave of absence for any reason are moved into the Raider Company Auxiliaries. These members retain their rank, and honor, and are free to join in with the Company for events, however they cannot be considered members of a deployable squadron, and cannot hold a leadership title.
